Rules & Expectations
Honoring Jesus in All We Do
This trip is more than just an amusement park visit- it's an opportunity to grow closer to Jesus, build lifelong friendships, and represent our faith with joy and integrity. We expect every student to carry themselves in a way that reflects Christ, not just for their own witness, but for the unity and strength of our group.
1. This is a Privilege, not a right
Participation in this trip is a blessing- not something we're owed. We are honored of offer this opportunity, and it's our prayer that we can continue doing things like this in the future. But understand: how we represent Jesus, our church, and each other will influence whether this is something we do again.
2. Represent Jesus in speech, dress, and behavior
Everything we do should reflect the love and humility of Christ
- Speech: No cussing, gossip, or hurtful language. Speak with kindness and grace.
- Dress: Be modest and respectful in all clothing choices.
- Behavior: Be kind, respectful, and self-controlled. Remember- you're showing others what Jesus is like.
3. Chaperones are your leaders
The adults coming on this trip have been prayerfully chosen to lead and protect you.
- Show them respect and obedience, just like you would a pastor, teachers, or parent.
- Their word is final in any situation. Grace will be given, but defiance or disrespect will not be tolerated.
4. Stay together, stay safe
You are part of a group, not here on your own vacation.
- Stick with your assigned group at all times.
- Never wander off alone.
- If something feels wrong or unsafe, tell a chaperone immediately.
5. Build each other up
This is a trip to strengthen our relationships.
- No cliques or excluding others.
- Be intentional- sit with someone new, ask questions, and encourage each other.
- The memories you make here should be ones that reflect Christ's love and unity.
6. Phones and Technology
Phones are necessary for communication, but they should never distract from the experience or relationships.
- No earbuds while Devotion or Instruction
- Use your phone to capture moments, not escape them
7. Be where you're supposed to be
Curfews, check-ins, and meal times will be clearly communicated
- Be on time, every time
- Show maturity by respecting the schedule- it helps everything run smoothly.
8. Honor God in public
You're not just repping yourself- you're repping Jesus
- Be polite and patient with park staff, restaurant servers, hotel workers, and others.
- Pick up after yourself and leave every space better than you found it.
- If you wouldn't do it in church or around your pastor, don't do it here.
9. Grace will be given- but not abused
We know mistakes happen. Our goal is restoration, not punishment.
- That said, serious disrespect, repeated disobedience, or unsafe behavior will result in suspension of Rides for that Day and parents will be notified of behavior.
- Leaders are here to guide, correct, and support you- but grace isn't permission to act out.
10. Let's have fun the right way
This trip should be joyful, memory-filled experience.
- Laugh loud. Ride the rides. Eat the snacks. Take the pictures.
- But in all things, honor God, love each other, and shine the light of Christ wherever you go.
